DJ Stealth kept the New Year’s Eve party lively with Motown, drum and bass, garage, and party classics, plus great lights, sound effects, smoke, and confetti cannons. The food was excellent too, and breakfast before checkout the next morning was one of the best I’ve had, with rustic bread and really good ingredients. I stayed at The JD Young Hotel in Harleston for New Year’s Eve 2025. My room looked lovely and had a great view, and the complimentary water and delicious shortbread were a nice touch. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Beth the GM even remembered me from a brunch at the end of November, which made the service feel personal. I’d happily stay again, especially if DJ Stealth is playing.

The drinks are reasonably priced, the staff provide great service, and the place is modern and stylish. I absolutely love it, but I don’t stay in the rooms, so I can’t comment on them. The food is what lets the place down. The quality is very poor, and the cooking needs attention. I’d eat here every day if the food were good. It’s a real shame. Please invest more in the produce and chef, because getting that right could make the place faultless.

The decor was superb, the service was wonderful, and we all thought the food was excellent. We had lunch here with two friends and found it very good value for money. I’d heartily recommend a visit for lunch or dinner. Worth all five stars.

The food and service were amazing, and they handled my more complicated order with real attention to detail. They even surprised my wife with a firework ice cream dessert and a gift voucher on the house. It’s the sort of place I want to bring everyone I know. We’re already planning another visit.
