Carolanne was so welcoming when we arrived at grimisdale, where I’d stayed many times under the previous owner. It felt strange coming back with a new owner, but she showed us to spotless rooms decorated to a very high standard. A complimentary gin in the room was a lovely touch, and the bed was comfortable enough for a great night's sleep. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic. I’ll definitely stay again and highly recommend the guest house. Thanks, carolanne, for your hospitality, 10 out of 10.

The views are amazing, with a loch right behind the house. We stayed on 23rd January 2026 and found everything spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious and well decorated, and the bathroom was too, with an excellent shower and wonderfully large bath towels. Carolanne, the landlady, is lovely, chatty and has a great sense of humour. She went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I’d recommend staying here to anyone.

Our ferry was cancelled, so we needed somewhere to stay and were glad there was a room free here. The hostess, Carolann, was lovely to chat with and has a quick sense of humour. The welcome was warm, the house comfortable, and the view over the loch was stunning whenever the storm let us see it. Breakfast was very tasty, served at a shared table in the living room between 8am and 9am. Highly recommended.

The host was especially helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, and the location is stunning. Spotlessly clean too. Absolutely outstanding across the board, and the breakfasts are hard to beat.

The hosts were incredible and made us feel very welcome. When restaurants nearby were at risk of closing early, Roddy kindly offered to cook us dinner. We didn’t end up needing it, but appreciated the offer. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options, and the rooms have lovely views. Everything is beautifully renovated, with comfortable beds, lovely linens, heated towel racks and bathrobes. We had a delightful stay and only wished it could have been longer. I’ll recommend the place to anyone passing through, and we’d certainly return if we get the chance. Thank you for such generous hospitality!
