Colterscleuch Cottage

This is a beautiful place with lovely old-world charm, and I hope to return for a longer stay. We didn’t have much time this visit. We arrived much later than expected, but our host was there to greet us when we pulled in. He carried our luggage, showed us to our room and was charming and very friendly. The hosts were wonderful again at breakfast the next morning. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Gina and Dean were amazing with our installer lads. They stayed up until the early hours while the guys finished a night job, then cooked them a great breakfast even though they’d missed the cutoff. The lads were so impressed with how they were treated and with the immaculate rooms that they called me this morning to make sure I left a review. Thanks so much, you’re now our number one place to go in the area!

The B&B was gorgeous and incredibly comfortable, with beautiful decor, brand new bathrooms, heated floors and lots of privacy. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and plentiful. We were sorry we couldn’t stay longer, and I’d highly recommend it if you get the chance. My husband, parents and I had the pleasure of staying at Colterscleuch House while travelling from Australia. Gina and Dean greeted us warmly with tea and cake, and were very helpful in booking a local restaurant. They’re an interesting, informative couple who shared lots of history about the area without overdoing it.

The beds were extremely comfortable, the bedding crisp and the couches wonderfully comfortable. All the accommodation was very clean, spacious and well maintained. Our son, daughter-in-law and their children had stayed before and were in the cottage, while we stayed in the house. Gina and Dean were so thoughtful and helpful. We feel completely rejuvenated after this incredible stay, and hope to return soon. Thank you so much.
