The cooked breakfast was a real highlight, and the little steak was a nice touch. The rooms were modern, roomy and clean, and the 192 stops right outside, running every few minutes into the city centre. This hotel sits above the Miller and Carter and turned out to be a great find. I only wish the restaurant had some more affordable evening options, perhaps a guest discount, since there aren't many other places to eat nearby. A help-yourself choice of fruit and pastries would also round out breakfast nicely. Thanks for a lovely stay.

I was stuck sweating in the room for ages before I could get ready. The heating was blasting in the tiny single room when I arrived, and I had to prop the door open with a chair. The window was locked, and the toilet seat was already coming loose from its hinges. It took about 20 minutes after I asked for help before someone came to fix the seat, switch off the heat and open the window. At £108, this little roasting room wasn't worth it. I felt like I'd walked into Fawlty Towers. I have to stay tonight because I paid before seeing the room; otherwise I would have gone to Trivelles nearby. I won't come back. I've paid less for rooms in better condition.

Whenever I stay in town, this is my first-choice hotel. I've been here a few times, and the rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and transport into town is right outside. There are also some nice bars and restaurants about a 10-minute walk away.

I could park at the property, and the staff were fabulous. The room was spacious and clean, with an immaculate bathroom. I was working in the area and found everything I needed here, especially the excellent restaurant.

The people who cleaned our room and the rest of the hotel and restaurant clearly took pride in their work, and they were so accommodating. Our room impressed us too. The food and service stayed at a high level throughout, which we hadn't experienced in a long time. Everything was freshly cooked, beautifully presented and served with pride. A big thank you for making our stay so special while we waited for our third grandchild to be born.
