This was a poor stay for us, especially as we regularly stay away for work and personally. The room looked tired and was cold when we arrived, so we kept our coats on until it warmed up. We left the heating low while we went out the next morning, hoping to return to a warmer room, but room service had turned it off and we were cold again. There were only four coat hangers, not many for a few nights, no hair dryer, and barely enough shower products for one shower. The thin, tired-looking towels included just one hand towel for both of us. The shower was slow but hot. Breakfast cost extra, which wasn't an issue by itself, but tea or coffee cost extra too. We were the only people in the breakfast room, yet our order was wrong. By then we'd had enough negatives and ate what we were given. On the second morning we left without breakfast and found a cheaper one down the road. I hope you take these comments on board. I'm glad I didn't book one of my clients in.

I was on my own for one night, and the room was clean, cosy, and warm, with a comfortable bed. The food was lovely, with generous portions, served hot and at a reasonable price. The service was lovely too. They even warmed my teacup this morning, and those little touches make a difference. The location is beautiful, peaceful when you want quiet but close enough to things when you want a bit of action. Very likely to come back, and I'll definitely recommend it.

We booked a superior room and thought the small extra cost was well worth it. It was good value, clean, comfortable, quiet, and the staff were friendly. The room was a great size, with a four poster bed, a sofa, and everything you'd expect. There's free parking too. We stayed three nights and would happily have stayed longer.

We stayed two nights in a family room and liked having two separate rooms. Usually when my husband and I go away, we end up sitting in the dark in complete silence. The beds were comfortable, the shower was perfect, and the room was lovely and quiet. Our girls also loved looking at the alpacas. I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff were so accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. They made us feel welcome straight away, and the rooms were immaculate, including the dog-friendly one I stayed in. My daughter had a beautiful room with a four-poster bed, and my friend had lovely views from his. The food was delicious. It's very dog friendly, while the non-dog rooms are kept separate. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely visit again.
