The views are fantastic, and the building is lovely, with thoughtful furnishings and lots of nice touches. Most of all, this family-run place made me feel so welcome. The food was great and there was a good choice of drinks too.

I’ve stayed at Monkton Court several times and eaten here for various events. The staff have always been generous and kind, and the service has been consistently high quality. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the food is exceptional. Everyone should try the rice pudding! I’ll keep coming back to stay and dine, and recommend it whenever people ask.

Cara was such a warm, lovely host, and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was stunning and dog friendly, which was brilliant. My husband, daughter, dog and I only stayed one night, but we all wished we could have stayed longer. If I need somewhere to stop over again, I’ll definitely book with Cara and recommend her place.

I’m four days into a week-long stay and it’s been fabulous so far. A fellow guest who really knew the piano played Pachebel's Canon in D on the huge one by the bar. The accommodation is very well looked after.
