Heritage Serviced Suites

The kitchen has an oven and range, which meant my wife and I could choose whether to eat in or go out depending on how the day had gone. We've been staying in the Plover for the past few nights during my business trip to Huddersfield, and we've loved every minute. The bed is comfy and the living area is spacious. I couldn't be happier with the Heritage, and can't wait to come back.

For anyone going to a wedding nearby, I'd recommend staying here. We were at a wedding in Lindley Manor House and spent two nights here, with the location working perfectly. Our Wellington Suite was spacious, in great condition and good value, and there is parking on site. The gym is on the 1st floor, and I thought the Old George cafe served the best full breakfast I've ever tried. Lindley village is less than 10 mins away on foot, and Wine Lindley is a must.

I've stayed twice with my family, and it was decent enough that we came back. It makes a reasonable change from a stale hotel, though it feels a bit pricier than it ought to be. There's an odd mix of lovely and shoddy: on the first visit the bathroom and bedroom were great, but the living room and especially the kitchen felt like an afterthought. The second room had a much better living and kitchen area, but the bathroom seemed badly fitted. Both times the crockery was dirty. I suspect the cleaning staff don't check it regularly, so you depend on the previous guests washing up properly.

The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and we had a great view from the room. The bed was very comfy over our three-night stay, and we'll definitely return. There were a few niggles: the bathroom had no towel rail or shaver socket, the room was dusty and there was no washing-up cloth. Parking could be a bit of a pain, though we did find a space each evening.
