The Cambridge Hotel

A lovely hotel in a quiet part of Huddersfield, still close to the town centre. I was glad to find it. The room was warm and clean, with a king-size bed that was really comfortable. There were plenty of choices on the TV too. I’ll definitely stay again.

Warm, comfortable hotel near the train station, and good value as well. The mattress was good and the towels were fluffy. I’d recommend it, thanks.

I spent three days here while working night shifts, and the staff were considerate about my schedule, which I appreciated. The car park was very good and secure. The rooms have a very noisy bathroom extractor fan. If someone in the next room leaves the bathroom light on, the noise carries on constantly. Breakfast was otherwise okay, but the bacon was horrible. I asked if it was vegan or something because it didn’t even look like bacon. They only had beef sausages.

The room was quiet and comfortable, and the little origami rose and bow tie on the toilet roll were a quirky surprise. Service was cheerful and friendly. The receptionist had locked themself out and had to climb over the desk to get back in and check me in. I’m not sure it was the first time. Breakfast was a bit odd, as other people have mentioned. The bacon seemed to be reconstituted pieces, so I skipped it. I tried a sausage, but it wasn’t anything special.
