I'm already booking another two weeks because I can't recommend this guest house highly enough. Janet is the perfect hostess, and the house is lovely. I've stayed in five-star hotels that weren't as comfortable or as well appointed. The gardens are another highlight, and Doreen and Annie, who help with room servicing, are both a joy.

The breakfast was excellent, with butchers' sausages and bacon cooked just right. The owner was lovely and gave us a very large room with a really comfortable bed and beautiful furniture. There's a huge walk-in shower in the lovely bathroom, plus a fridge, microwave and TV in the room, and parking is provided. Such a fabulous hidden gem with proper Yorkshire hospitality. We'll be back :)

The first-floor room was really spacious and amazing. Brilliant place, thank you. I'll stay here again when I come to visit family.

We got a warm, friendly welcome, and there was plenty of parking out front. The location is excellent, with a regular bus into the city and Wi-Fi available. Breakfast had lots of choice, the bedrooms were comfortable, and the shower was really good.

The landlady was nice, and the room was spacious with a large ensuite. It had a microwave, kettle, tea and coffee, and a fridge. There’s also a lovely, big back garden guests can use, plus parking at the front. The beds and pillows were very hard, though, and uncomfortable for us.
