I came by on several nights for a drink and the live music. The musicians were great, and the groups changed from night to night, with two different acts playing each evening. It gets quite full during the shows, so most people end up standing around the bar.

The music made an already comfortable spot even nicer. We came in for a meal and had a great time: the food was excellent, and the service stayed friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout. It was an easy place to sit and relax over dinner. We really enjoyed the visit and would happily come back next time we're nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay and would probably choose this place again if we visit Inverness. The pub is in a handy central spot, with lots of good food options nearby. There's an ice cream shop less than a block away, and I had a really good ice cream there. There's also a cute old dog who wanders over to say hello downstairs in the pub, so keep that in mind if you're allergic to dogs. The food was delicious. My wife had a burger, and I had the meat pie. We were glad we followed their advice to reserve a table, since seating is limited and fills up quickly. We had no trouble getting a table for two. Live music starts after 6 PM, and we enjoyed it. It didn't bother us from the rooms downstairs, either. Check-in was very easy, and our room was lovely. It was a little small, but that was fine since we were out and about most of the time. We had two twin beds, which worked well for us.

We booked a table last week, March 17th 2026, after seeing on the website that they have music every night. There were plenty of tables when we arrived on time, so we sat by the outside window. Our beer and wine came quickly. The food was excellent. I had the Bangers and Mash, and my wife ordered something with what looked like a big loaf of bread over beef stew. I can't remember the name, but I tried hers and it was excellent too. About an hour after we arrived, a man and woman started playing guitar and fiddle. We loved the music and stayed for a few more drinks. The taxi service was only about 30 yards down the street, so getting back to our hotel was easy. We were really glad we went, it was a wonderful experience.
