The Coos was comfortable enough for a night, and the keyless check-in was easy. For the price, it was fine, and the location is convenient, about a 10-minute walk from central Inverness, with an SPAR, Tesco and laundromats nearby. The setup feels hard to pin down, somewhere between a B&B, hotel and hostel. The house has been divided into lots of small rooms with en-suites, and the walls are thin. You can hear people talking in their rooms quite clearly, even with the quiet hours around 10. One night, some guests were cleaning at 8:30pm. There are indoor and outdoor shared areas, and guests can use a fridge until 8:30pm. I got the impression rooms are cleaned daily from the signs about dirty towels, though I declined this. There’s no microwave or other useful appliance alongside the fridge. In the room there’s a kettle and coffee maker, but only disposable paper cups and wooden stirrers. Proper mugs and cutlery would fit better with a place that promotes sustainability. It’s an acceptable place to sleep, but nothing fancy.

Simple, comfortable accommodation and a wonderful stay. It’s really close to both Inverness train station and the Rabbie tour pickup.

The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed, TV, kettle and coffee machine. The shower was nice, but its head kept falling down instead of staying in position.

We only stayed one night, and the quiet room worked well for us. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of space for clothes and a suitcase, and the room itself felt a good size. The coffee machine and tea tray were handy, and the shower was hot and pleasant. It's an easy short walk into town for what you need. It's a contactless place, which suited me fine. My quibbles are the price without breakfast, since management no longer provide it, and the disposable items on the hospitality tray. That feels bad for the environment.

Church Street and everything around it was an easy walk away, which made the location ideal for me as a solo traveller from the US. My room was clean and stayed pretty quiet, with no noise from the neighbouring rooms. The only letdown was the bed, which wasn't especially comfortable.
