That private garden hot tub was the highlight for us. It was ready when we arrived, with towels and flip flops supplied, and we spent ages relaxing under the stars, hoping to spot the Northern Lights. The garden isn't overlooked, and the house itself is remarkably quiet despite being close to the centre. I’m a light sleeper, and our front bedroom facing the road didn’t disturb me at all. We were there for a weekend with two other families and children, and there was room for all ten of us to spread out. The five bedrooms are large and bright, the beds comfortable, and most have ensuite bathrooms. There’s a big dining room and living room, plus a kitchen with all the crockery, pans, cutlery and seating we needed as a group. The coffee machine was a nice bonus. The house is spotless and thoughtfully decorated, and there’s off-street parking. Eden Court is very close, and the river walk into Inverness is lovely and short. The hosts have clearly put a lot of care into the place. We all had a great stay and couldn’t find anything to fault.
We spent a brilliant, relaxing long weekend here and would happily come back. The hosts were friendly, quick to respond and efficient, with little things like hot tub towels and flip flops already there, plus board games, travel books and Sky TV in the lounge. The private garden hot tub was our favourite. It was spotless, and we sat in it for hours each day with a drink after exploring the city. The house is a handy base for groups and families of different ages, with all sorts of useful things provided, from board games to an ice cream scoop and egg cups. Everyone slept well in the five bright, roomy double or king size bedrooms. They’re inviting, nicely decorated and have ensuite bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, and the living spaces have plenty of room for a quiet drink after sightseeing or games together. It’s right by the city centre, with local amenities within walking distance. We also got a quick look at the hosts’ sister property, Ness on the Lane, which had the same tasteful modern feel but its own character. Thanks for looking after us, we had a wonderful stay.
There was plenty of room for our whole group at West Of the Ness, with several restrooms. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the home had all the things we might need. Thanks for making our vacation so great!
I only wish I could have stayed longer. This was my favourite accommodation on my NC 500 trip, and a great place to stop in Inverness. The kitchen and living areas were really well equipped, and the house felt cosy enough that staying in was appealing. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds made for a good rest after travelling. The town centre is about a leisurely 15 minute walk along the river, which is a brilliant location.
The river and canal paths nearby are lovely, whether you want an easy walk or a brisk jog, and there’s a playground close by for children. The city centre is also a short walk away, with places nearby for coffee or a meal, so West of the Ness made a convenient starting point for exploring Inverness. Inside, this characterful period home has been renovated with rich colours and elegant details. It has five comfortable double beds, a well stocked kitchen, an open living room and a dining area, so it feels very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay. The place brings together comfort and an easy location, and we’d recommend it for a visit to Inverness. And about the Loch Ness monster, you may not find it here, but everything else you need for a great stay is there!
