Bitacora is a lovely house in a lovely setting, and we enjoyed the scenery on every drive. Most of the places we wanted to visit were about 50 minutes away, though not all, which could be an issue for some people. We were happy taking in the views. The property is clean and spacious, and the owner's information pack is detailed, with local points of interest and useful notes about the equipment in the house. Most roads on Skye are good, and the narrower ones have plenty of passing places. Weather is the main gamble, though most of ours was okay. When we were stuck indoors, having only one TV channel was a shame. The free Wi-Fi was hit and miss too. Since we're from elsewhere and don't know Skye well, we relied a lot on the internet to look up places to go, so that was a minor issue.

What a view! The place faces west, so we got a sunset every evening, with bright stars at night. It's spacious and really well equipped, tucked away on the Isle of Skye. A real gem. The owner was kind, supportive, and easy to communicate with.

I really want to come back. This place earned more than five stars from me. I loved sitting outside at night with a dram of scotch or three, taking in the lovely night scenery. We had a great time at the local pub, with plenty of funny moments to write a book about, and a meal at the local "starred" restaurant "The Loch Bay" made the visit complete. The house is very nice, clean, and well presented, with good facilities: a bubbly bath, walk-in shower, everything you'd expect, a great kitchen and dining area with views, and a lounge you can properly relax in, also with a view. Please give it the respect it deserves. We got a mix of weather, and the scenery kept changing beautifully. Hearing a cuckoo call across the water was a long-forgotten pleasure, as were the skylarks. It was lambing season, with newborns in the fields behind, and the yellow blooms alongside the bluebells made an amazing contrast. One small thing for the owners: if you're expecting more mature guests, we don't need the headmistress notes. Seriously, though, I recommend this wonderful perch by the loch.

The view across Ardmore Point was magnificent, and this modern bungalow was very comfortable. The shower in the main bathroom was brilliant, though the Jacuzzi wasn't working properly, just a small hiccup. The steep drive had been badly washed out last winter. The owner was happy to drive up it, but we chose to leave our hire car in the parking space at the bottom. I'd highly recommend the place, though it would get five stars if the drive were repaired.

The spectacular views and lovely furniture made this modern self-catering bungalow a great place to stay. It has a walk-in shower and a separate wet room. I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone, especially people who need accessibility.
