Haworth Heights

Haworth is lovely, but I wouldn’t stay here again. Our room was awful, the smell was unbearable, and the customer service was basically nonexistent. Avoid it if you can. We’d stayed here before and had a lovely time, so booked again for my fiancé’s birthday. This visit was horrific. Check-in was over an hour late, not until 4:15pm, and the keys weren’t in the lockbox because the cleaner still had them. After several calls to the manager went unanswered, we eventually found the cleaner and got into the room. The iron and ironing board we’d arranged with the manager weren’t there either, so we waited another 30 minutes before we could get ready. The stairs and top-floor room stank of drains or dead animals. The bathroom drain smell was so bad it made us feel sick. When we finally reached the manager, he said we could leave and get a refund, but we’d already had a drink and couldn’t drive home. He said he hadn’t known about the smell, even though the cleaner told us, “I would complain, it’s awful the smell, I told the manager.” The fire alarm detector wasn’t in place. We checked with an electrician, who confirmed it wasn’t wired to the mains and said this broke health and safety regulations. We were on the top floor, and the only escape route was through a skylight onto the roof. Terrible.

The three cheeky monkey ornaments were a big hit with my son, who was obsessed with them. Little touches like that made our stay at Haworth Heights memorable. We were in The Professor room, which was spacious and felt like a comfortable home away from home for my family and me. The furnishings were high quality, the amenities were thoughtful, and the tasteful decor made the room warm and inviting. It was a lovely place to unwind, with plenty of comfort and a sense of luxury. The price was great value too. I don’t often write reviews, but we loved staying here. I’d highly recommend Haworth Heights, especially The Professor room.

There’s a lot of potential here, but the small things being missed take away from the wow factor people are paying for. Looking closer was disappointing. The mattress and pillows definitely need new protectors, and there should be a bench or small table outside.

We had a very enjoyable stay, and the location was just what we wanted. We could walk from the door to Haworth’s attractions in about 5 to 15 minutes. Our room’s design and facilities were great, everything we needed was there and worked well. It’s also close to many sights in West Yorkshire, so I’d recommend it for a trip around the area. Thanks!
