Herdwick Guest House

The only parking is on the street, so it’s best to arrive early. Otherwise, this was a fantastic B&B. Andy and Tracey were excellent hosts, and the room was quiet, clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed for a break. Breakfast was brilliant. I’m looking forward to staying again, and highly recommend it if you want to be in Keswick.

We had an amazing stay over the bank holiday weekend for my girlfriend’s birthday, and the guest house really made the weekend special. I asked for a few extras for her birthday, and they accommodated what I requested, which was above and beyond. The rooms and bathroom were very clean, with plenty of space for both of us, and it was a very quiet location. Parking is pot luck, but they mention that in the parking information. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant, with local food that I thought was very good indeed. I met the owner at breakfast, a very nice, chatty man who had helpful suggestions for places to visit. Thank you for a great stay.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived, and the rooms were spotless. Our room had tea and coffee making facilities, plus toiletries in the ensuite. The breakfast was worthy of a five-star hotel. Andy and Tracey were great hosts at the Herdwick Guest House, which is ideally placed for exploring Keswick and other Lakeland retreats. We’ve just got home and hope to return soon. Thanks again.

The room had a great view of the hills, and breakfast cooked by Tracey really hit the spot before a day on the fells. Andy was welcoming, and I enjoyed our morning chats. The Kingfisher restaurant does great fish and chips with good service, and the Alhambra Cinema is a wonderful little venue. A great place to stay in Keswick. Thanks to Andy and Tracey for an enjoyable few days.
