Melbreak guest house was quiet at night and only about a five minute walk from the town centre. We stayed in June 2015 and found the room neat and very clean, with a flat screen TV, tea and coffee, and a shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was a filling full English each day, with generous portions. We'd recommend it and plan to stay again on our next trip to the lakes.

We were at Melbreak house on 14th and 15th June 2016. The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast came hot, nicely presented, and in generous amounts. We'd happily stay again. Thank you.

We arrived extremely late, past the stated check in time of 10pm, and were really grateful that the host still let us in. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed breakfast each morning.

The owner was really helpful and accommodating, and the bed was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and well located, and the full breakfast came in a very good portion. I'd definitely recommend it.

I brought my wife here for her 50th birthday. We had a great time, with excellent food and lovely company. A great place to stay.
