The food was great, and Nic was friendly and welcoming throughout. Jake cooked the mixed grill perfectly. Great service all round.

We were told by a member of staff on Friday that a large bottle of Prosecco cost just £12.99, which is amazing for Keswick. We stayed for dinner too and were really impressed. The mixed grill and award-winning pie were both delicious. It's a lovely pub in central Keswick, and we can't wait to return next time we're in The Lakes.

We had Christmas Day dinner here with our dogs and loved it. They seated us at the back, away from the busy pub. I think Callum and Harry served us, but all the staff deserve praise for working so well on Christmas Day. The food was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The team made our Christmas, and we left with full bellies.

We booked Sunday roast for 12 at The Golden Lion and were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The friendly Golden Lion team served our food and drinks throughout. Everything tasted great and was good value. We'd happily recommend it. Well done, and thank you.

We came for Sunday lunch and were very disappointed. For £15.95, I'd expect fresh vegetables, but all of them were frozen, and the turkey was like processed meat. I'd give this place a miss if you're after a fresh, tasty roast.
