We booked Jimmy's cottage mainly because our two dogs were welcome, and they had room to run safely once we shut the gate. It's detached and fully enclosed. The cottage was roomy and really clean, and the mountain views are fantastic. We could walk down the lane into Tollymore. The milk and biscuits were a lovely touch, and Jacinta was always available for questions, which I really appreciated. We stayed five nights and will miss the quiet and the view. We'd happily come back.

The cottages are nice, and the views and peace and quiet more than make up for the tight parking and the fact that they’re closer together than the photos suggest. Signal can be patchy, so bring a book or something to keep you occupied.

A really friendly place high up in the Mourne Mountains, where you can properly relax. It makes a good base for Newry, Newcastle and Kilkeel. Self-catering, with amenities including Wi-Fi and a dishwasher.
