Cromhall Farm

Catherine's warm, friendly manner put me at ease on my very first visit, and as a solo traveller that meant a lot. I've been coming back for a couple of years now and have stayed in all her cottages. They're always spotless, in a beautiful setting, and have every amenity I could want. Breakfast includes fresh farm eggs, bread, croissants and juice. When I'm booking, this is always the first place I check for availability.

We'll definitely stay here again when visiting family, and it would make a great base for a longer holiday too. We loved it. The cottage sits opposite the beautiful main farmhouse, which I think dates from 1754, and has its own garden and parking. Inside it's spacious and very clean. The kitchen is properly equipped, with good quality utensils and working appliances, including a washing machine and dishwasher. The owner takes the home-from-home promise seriously and gave us a warm welcome. It's not a working livestock farm, so there are none of the farm smells some people might dislike. The countryside around it is lovely, and it's about a 20-minute walk to a friendly village with a pub serving good food, a café and a shop.

The only drawback was that we couldn't stay longer. Catherine and her family were such welcoming hosts, and it was lovely to have help carrying our things from the car. The accommodation was nicely decorated and had all the facilities we needed. The setting is peaceful and beautiful to look at and walk around. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast. A great place to stay when visiting the Cotswolds, and one I'd happily recommend. Thanks again, Catherine and family, for everything x

We booked both cottages for three of us just before Christmas last year, and had such a cosy stay. The furnishings were lovely and finished to a high standard. The farm was peaceful, while still being close to some great country pubs and Bath's Christmas markets. Each morning Catherine and her family left us fresh eggs and croissants, plus bread and other tasty breakfast bits. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful cottages. We'll be back! Laura x
