The two courses in the photos came to £15, which is excellent value. I had the best steak I've tasted in years, cooked perfectly blue. Andy was fantastic and couldn't do enough to help. We just went out for Sunday lunch, and I'd highly recommend trying the food here.

I was in Fife for work and found the staff friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, just what I'd expect from a budget hotel. But the pub downstairs was really noisy on a Tuesday night, with karaoke or something going on until about 1am. Around 4am, I could hear drunk people arguing in the corridors and the next room.

A short break here was enjoyable, and I'd stay again. The room was clean and warm, tea and water were complimentary, and I liked the relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent too. Nothing negative to report.

For me, the best part of the buffet was the handmade pizza. The food tasted great, was really fresh and clearly prepared on site. My missus loved the chicken curry and breaded chicken wings. It's not the biggest buffet, but it may be one of the freshest and tastiest. There's less choice than at cosmos or a hot flames buffet, but I thought the quality was better. The staff were friendly and helpful, even while rushed off their feet. I spoke with the owner, who said the buffet was meant as a trial and was proving successful. They were still waiting for a lot of equipment, and the pizza oven had broken down. You wouldn't have known from watching the staff handle the pressure so well. I only found out because I asked. Hats off to them. Prices were £9.95 per adult and £4.95 per child, with soft drinks and kids' drinks from £1.50 to £2. For me, my missus, our five-year-old and our ten-month-old, it came to under £30. A bargain for the fresh food and quality. It was one of my best meals out in a long time. The staff, the owner and the food at a reasonable price made it for me. I get the feeling it'd be a good place for a pint too. I'll definitely recommend it and come back.
