The bed was amazing and the pillows comfortable. Even though it’s at a service station, it was very quiet, and the internet was a bargain at £7 for two nights with a really strong connection. The woman on reception was lovely and helpful, and the man on duty at night was great, down to earth, and welcoming. After two nights at a Premier inn, I honestly wish I’d booked the Travelodge instead. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay more enjoyable. We’ll definitely return on future trips.

We always stop here to break up the drive north. Prices are very reasonable, the staff friendly and helpful, and it’s surprisingly quiet and comfortable. The service area has what you need, and the rooms have opening windows, working TVs, and tea and coffee facilities. We’ve always slept well here, and our latest visit was no different.

The repeated knocks about checkout are the main problem. We pay for the 2pm late checkout, especially since we often arrive late the night before, but staff still come to the door between 12 and 1 asking if we’re leaving. It keeps happening, and there’s no apology for waking or disturbing us. Some nights we’ve arrived in the early hours and need those extra hours. We’ve already paid for the room and late checkout before arrival, so being woken up is shocking. I was at reception writing this after waiting 20 minutes to discuss why they keep trying to get us out early. On arrival, the reception staff were polite and helped with the parking machine. The room was adequate for the price, though a bit tired, and everything worked except one bedside light. Cleanliness was okay overall, with some cobwebs and what looked like mould on the window seals, though I can’t be certain.

Tracy and the team were great, friendly, and very helpful. We called ahead because we’d be arriving very late, and they gave us clear instructions for getting into the building. The receptionist was welcoming and efficient when checking us in. Our room was clean, comfortable, and pleasantly decorated, and we slept really well.
