The house had all the little things we needed for the weekend, from tea and coffee to shower gel, mini shampoo and conditioner. We also loved the fluffy sofa blankets, hot tub robes, non-slip socks, soft sheets and lovely decor. It was a beautiful, luxurious place for a get-together with friends and family before my wedding. Even the sun came out! We’ll have to find another occasion to come back.

We came away with some lovely memories. Thanks so much to the owners for making that possible. We had an amazing time.

The owners serve their own jam and honey at breakfast, and you can buy some to take away. It brought back happy memories of a B&B I once stayed at in Scarborough. My young daughter was thrilled to get away, and we both loved our cosy, clean stay. The converted home felt like a home away from home, and at £60 a night it was affordable. The location was superb too, with a small park 200 metres north along the coast and lovely views both north and south.

The area was a real find, and I’d definitely return. On arrival, I was told it was a no-shoe hotel, which made sense when I saw how clean and beautifully arranged the room was. The en-suite bathroom had great amenities, especially the immense shower, and the stay was completely undisturbed.

For £130 for two nights, the value was excellent. The Old Rectory is right across from the promenade, and we loved both the bedroom and shower room. Breakfast wasn’t included, which suited us since we wanted to explore and eat when we felt like it. We couldn’t fault the location or value. Ace!
