Laird And Dog Inn

We stayed five nights and had good food and beer. It's in a good location, with a bus right outside. Boss Adam was extremely accommodating, and Lauren and Olivia deserve a special mention for their excellent service.

I came in for a non-alcoholic Erdinger during a quiet midweek spell, then decided to eat as well. The Steak & Ale Pie with chips arrived without much of a wait and was delicious, with tender steak and perfectly done pastry. It's a welcoming pub on the main road. The car park is easy to miss, and although there's outdoor seating beside it, the closeness of the road put me off sitting there. Inside was comfortable, with both open areas and more private places to sit.

Adam and the staff were fantastic when we had our wedding meal here and stayed overnight on our wedding night. We still come back often for food and the occasional overnight stay, and the food is always beautiful. I'll always recommend the laird & dogg inn.

There was a lovely log fire, delicious food and welcoming staff when four of us had lunch on Wednesday. One small irritation was that the women in our group were called “guys,” as in “Enjoy guys.” It's a minor thing, but it should be addressed since it seems to be becoming the norm.
