Leeds Marriott Hotel

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the station is just a short walk away. My room was clean and fine, though a little dated. There was a strange connecting door: opening it led to another door attached to a different room. The neighbour stayed up into the early hours, and the noise and light coming through kept me awake. Very odd.

At 1:15 a.m. on Saturday in room 205, the music was so loud that sleeping was impossible. The glazing did nothing to keep the noise down, and the manager admitted this happens on Saturdays. This hotel needs to warn guests about the noise. The night manager didn't help, refused to move us, and didn't seem to care about our experience. I'd stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world, and this was the worst for seriously loud music. Booking this hotel through the Marriot felt deceptive, and it ruined our Valentine's night.

Right in the heart of Leeds, this was a lovely stay. The room had plenty of space and a high ceiling, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. We also had breakfast and spent time at Gino bar, and both were absolutely brilliant!

We had a quiet room at the back, with plenty of space, and the hotel was perfect for our stay. The rooms are smart, the bathrooms are large, and everything was very clean. The car park is directly behind the hotel, so it's an easy walk. The bar and restaurant had a really cosy feel, and every member of staff, from reception to the bar, was polite and lovely. I can't fault them. One minor gripe: some other guests have mentioned the mattresses, and I agree they're extremely hard. I had a pretty rough night's sleep on mine, though maybe that's personal preference.
