Hungarton Bed & Breakfast

The children were asking when we could come back before we’d even left, which says a lot after just one night. Peter and Paula made us feel at home, and Roxy the dog was a hit too. The garden was beautifully kept, with chickens out front, cows behind, and lovely exposed beams inside. We’d told them our son has dairy and nut allergies, so they thoughtfully put soya milk in the room and provided it at breakfast, along with dairy-free butter and milk. There was plenty to choose from, as far as I could tell. The full English was a great start to the day. My wife kept talking about the mushrooms on the drive home, while I was impressed by the fresh fried egg, smoky bacon and sausage. Both rooms felt comfortable and homely, and we slept well in the quiet village. It’s well placed for nearby attractions and Leicester. We were sorry to leave. Thanks, Peter and Paula.

The hosts gave us such a warm welcome, and the room made for a cozy night. Breakfast was a lovely full English, with a furry friend there to greet us in the morning. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

The village pub's opening hours were the only drawback. The cottage itself was clean, cared for and homely, and we were served a huge, delicious breakfast.

The owners waited up for us, even though we were late, and were so welcoming. We loved the peaceful setting, fresh air and smell of the trees. The English breakfast and coffee were really tasty. Thanks for making our weekend special, we’ll visit again 😊
