Premier Inn Leicester - Forest East

The reception and bar staff were all brilliant, and the chocolate sundae was lovely. My dinner, though, left me disappointed by the portions. The prawn cocktail had sauce only on the prawns, none on the salad, and looked to contain about a third of a tub of prawns from Asda. I also had the mixed grill, which was cooked perfectly, but the serving was much smaller than I remembered. I paid an extra £5 for the 8oz steak, and it measured about 5-6cms square. I spent around £45 on the meal and a drink. I can't blame the staff for the portion sizes. I've stayed in many Premier Inns, and this room was one of the smallest.

The pub and restaurant are spacious, with plenty of separate corners for a business meeting, a date or a group get-together. You can hear each other when you talk. The rooms are roomy and nicely decorated, and the hotel has a very good view. Service is good, and the staff are friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Julie was a real highlight of our stay. She was friendly, professional and went out of her way to help us. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked, and check-in and check-out were smooth. The hotel was quiet and well maintained, in a convenient location. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing night. We had a brilliant experience and will definitely come back. Thanks to Julie and the rest of the staff for such a warm welcome.

Julie in the restaurant was the highlight of my business trip. She was so welcoming and jolly. Breakfast was delicious, and the room was comfortable, especially the bed. The shower and air conditioning worked well too. A really great stay.
