Everything in Lerwick is only a few minutes' walk from the guesthouse, and Peter is a fantastic host. He's so friendly and often goes out of his way to help. My room was clean, had a great view, and was lovely to stay in. Peter brought fresh tea supplies and cookies each day. Breakfast was great too, with plenty of cereal, porridge, fruit and pastries. He even made sure my favourite brand of porridge was there. The coffee was really good as well.

Steve and Karen, along with Archie the dog, were lovely hosts. We both slept well in the comfortable room. Breakfast was very nice, with well-cooked, quality ingredients and a good selection of cereal with fresh blueberries. They also kept our suitcases for us until it was time to get out ship to Scotland. Thanks for that.

Peter made a real difference as host, warm and helpful, and a great ambassador for Lerwick. The room was clean and lovely, breakfast was great, and the location was convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and both the cosy, clean room and the lovely breakfast were great. This was the best place I've stayed on Shetland. 10 out of 10, highly recommend, and I'll come again!

The free Wi-Fi was fast, which was great. The people who greeted me, a man, a woman and a dog, were pleasant and helpful throughout. But be very specific about breakfast: I asked for a sausage sandwich and got one sausage between two slices of bread. I'd never had a sandwich with so little filling. My room felt a bit tacky and dated, with old wallpaper and a huge crack along the ceiling and wall, almost as if the room had once been chopped in half. The bed was comfortable, but the middle of the double bed sat higher than the sides, so I kept rolling to one side. I also found a broken lamp. I booked during covid and expected the room to be immaculate, but it wasn't very clean. There was dirt and dust along the top and bottom of the bath and on the toilet seat. There didn't seem to be disabled access, though they may have had a single room on the ground floor. There was no parking provided. I had to leave the car in the residential area, and I wouldn't be surprised if you annoyed local homeowners at some point during the week.
