The Harrow Inn

The portions were just right, and the fish and chips were great, with light, fluffy batter. I like seeing a business offer something different and make a meal out affordable. The new menu is great: all mains are £9.99, and the kids menu is £6.50 to £7. Staff were really friendly and helpful when I dropped in for lunch.

The Harrow Inn is a proper pub with a welcoming staff and spot-on service. It has a great atmosphere, especially if you like watching the football, with plenty of screens, a pool table and a friendly crowd of lads. The traditional thatched roof, wooden beams and cosy fireplace give the place loads of character. There’s plenty of parking too. Stopped by in Wandborough, Swindon, and was really impressed. A great spot for a few pints, highly recommend.

Charlotte and Ryan served up delicious food with great service. My gammon, egg and pineapple was cooked to perfection, with chunky fries and mayo, and I had a pint of Guinness Zero. A local car club was meeting in the pub car park, hopefully a regular fixture over the coming months. There were interesting hot rods, rat rods and classics, plus a Cadillac caravan conversion alongside a small armoured vehicle. The Scarecrow Trail is also on in Wanborough in May. Most excellent early dinner after work.

The burgers were decent, and the kids loved the Mac & Cheese. Popped in for Saturday lunch and found it excellent value, with very friendly service. We’ll definitely return.
