The staff were friendly, and parking was easy to sort out at the reception consoles, though it cost £4. Breakfast was plentiful, but by the time we went down at 9.15 some of it had dried out under the lamps. Next time I might ask for an omelette cooked to order.

The room was spacious and had all the essentials, with a clean bathroom, a comfortable bed, and a strong, hot shower. A fresh milk dispenser in the corridor was a nice touch, so there was no UHT milk. We ate in the bar and the food came out hot and tasty. Breakfast was buffet-style, and the hot food was actually hot. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially the reception staff, whose lively conversation was a refreshing change. I can't fault the hotel and would stay again.

The garden view from our spacious room made my two-week stay especially comfortable, and I’m very grateful to the receptionist who helped us get a room even though we’d arrived too early to check in. I landed in Manchester on 19 Oct after a 14-hour flight and hadn’t realised the time difference meant it was too early. The staff were pleasantly friendly, and breakfast was consistently delicious British fare. Tesco Express and some excellent Italian and Greek restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk away. I’m sorry I didn’t get the receptionist’s name, but I really appreciated her service.

The room was cosy, and having a small single room suited me well for an overnight stay near the airport. There was an event that evening, so I could hear some noise in my first-floor room until around 2300, though it’d probably only bother a very light sleeper. The room got too warm, and I couldn’t work out how to turn off the heating, so I left the window open all night. That seemed to help, though it felt wasteful. I do prefer a cooler room, so that may just be me. Parking is paid on arrival, with discounted 12/24-hour options using a voucher code from reception.
