8/10
The room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed. It stayed amazingly cool in hot weather, and getting upstairs behind the restaurant was no problem. I’d definitely return if they fixed the locks. I couldn’t lock or unlock either of the two doors to the room and needed help every time, so there’s clearly an issue with both.

The food was 10/10, and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. We absolutely loved the huge, spotless room, which was warm and comfortable, with amazing features and fascinating history. We’ll definitely stay again.

Quirky, unique, clean and welcoming, with really comfortable accommodation. It was the best overnight stop on our Rochdale canal walk. The restaurant tapas and breakfast were immense. I’d definitely recommend it!

The Rake has lovely rooms and is seriously stylish, 10/10. It's got so much history, in a lovely quiet part of little borough. Definitely not your average b&b, this is a place you must stay!

The food was superb, and the staff were so friendly. The rooms are stunning too, even better than they look in the pictures. Such a gem of a place. We can't wait to come back!
