Dockside Aparthotel, Bw Signature Collection

The rooms were really spacious and comfortable, and it was only about a 15-20 minute walk into the city centre. The staff were genuinely nice, cheerful, chatty and helpful. Honestly, the place exceeded my expectations.

The staff were extremely friendly, and the apartment was very comfortable and well located. There’s parking around the hotel, but the information about it wasn’t very clear. The toilet bowls are also too high. Not everyone is five feet tall! There was a party in the reception area one evening, with loud music and lots of young people. I could hear it from the apartment, which rather defeats the point of being able to rest. I’ll definitely return, but that noise was a problem.

The woman who checked us in on 24th January was lovely, and she’d get 5/5 from me. The man working at breakfast, though, was atrocious. He argued with my husband about our breakfast, which honestly wasn’t even worth arguing over. We did get breakfast free, thankfully, but I wouldn’t recommend buying it: £8 for a mini yoghurt, croissant, Aldi porridge, a small apple and a bottle of water. He blamed Booking.com even though we’d booked directly with the hotel. We also had electricity problems, and it seemed our flat was the only one affected.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the dock view was nice. The rooms are very basic, but clean. You can feel the bed springs when sitting on the bed, though it’s reasonably comfortable once you lie down. It’s a great spot for central Liverpool and the sites, and I thought it was fair value for money.
