It was noisy at night, the room was cold and the carpet wasn’t very clean. The shower pressure was low, and although we requested a double bed, we got two singles. They didn’t provide shampoo, shower gel or soap either.

At 1am, the cleaners were outside smoking, shouting and swearing, which is why I was awake. The stay was shocking from the moment we arrived: there was no bedding for the sofa bed, so I had to go to another room and get some myself. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a decent night’s sleep.

I paid for two nights but stayed just one. The shower swung between freezing cold and boiling hot, and the bedsit was grubby and smelly. It took two days of calling to get the entry code because the place isn’t staffed. The number on Expedia was wrong, and even after I googled it, it took ages for anyone to answer. This is the sort of place Social Services puts desperate homeless people.

Once was enough for me. The windows were draughty, I couldn’t get the heating working, and in the shower you had to run around to get wet.

The place was great, clean and warm. It’s just a pity there were no batteries in the TV remote.
