The New Inn is only a level two-minute walk from the lodge, with generous pub meals and good beer. The lodge itself is cosy and well equipped, right beside the river, where you can hear the water and spot Dippers and Kingfishers just metres away. There's birdlife right up to the door, too, plus a stunning view. It's a little gem of a holiday lodge and a lovely escape.

We loved watching all kinds of wildlife from the little porch. It's a relaxing place, and the owner Mike was super helpful and attentive. The village pub is lovely, and it's a handy location for getting around Snowdonia. Definitely recommend it.

The Nest and the Nook are the two chalets here, both available through Sykes Cottages. Ours was a lovely, cosy one-bedroom place, clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for a romantic weekend or a week away. Tea, coffee, sugar and free Wi-Fi were included. The setting is beautiful, with the river right there, mountains so close it feels like you could touch them, and the lovely village of Llangynog,Powys nearby. Sykes Cottages were helpful and informative when we booked. Can't wait to return.
