Tracey even helped me out after my stay. I got back to Gloucester that evening and realized I'd left my keys behind. I called her, and she posted them back by recorded delivery straight away. That's good, friendly old fashioned service, and I'll definitely stay again when work sends me back to the area. I was there for work and needed a guesthouse at a reasonable price. The welcome was friendly, the room cosy, and there was a pub next door. The evening food was good value, and breakfast was especially good, nicely presented and made with quality ingredients. It set me up for the workday. Thank you.

We had a fantastic afternoon for my niece's sweet sixteenth birthday party. They let us set up a little early, prepared an incredible amount of food and were so helpful with everything. The staff put in a huge effort. Thank you, Tracy and Phil. I'd definitely recommend it.

I only stayed one night, but I'd be very happy to come back. The room was clean and comfortable, and I got a warm welcome. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Shower gel would have been useful, as I'd forgotten mine.

We ate at the restaurant and the food was really yummy, with good choices, generous portions and better value than I expected. Breakfast came with the room, was served quickly and tasted good. There was a standard full breakfast and plenty of other options, plus hot drinks, juice, milk and cereals. The location is quiet and close to Carmarthen town. This isn't a romantic or classy place, but it's perfectly adequate if you need somewhere to sleep. For £55 for a twin room for two nights, the worn carpets and lived-in decor are fair enough. The beds were standard, nicely dressed and mostly clean, apart from a few bits of fluff. I won't pretend it was spotless. The large bathroom was dated and well used, with hair and soap mess in the shower, sink and bath. There was no hand soap or hand towel, just two towels, one S and one M. The bathroom was two doors down from the room, across the main corridor, so a midnight trip means getting dressed or being brave. It could use a bit more cleaning. Still, the staff were wonderful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and I'm happy to pay and stay again. Good value for the money.
