Peterstone Court Country House Restaurant & Spa

Our son and new daughter-in-law recently got married here, and what an incredible venue it is. The service from the team was excellent over both days, with nothing too much trouble. A special mention to Dawn, Sharon, isabella, Leo and Grace, along with everyone else who helped make it special. The hotel has lovely large bedrooms, a fantastic main room for weddings and parties, a great bar, outdoor seating and a snug library and games room. There’s also a beautiful little church next door, just a couple of minutes away on foot. Well done to everyone.

Sunday lunch was delicious, and the staff really wanted us to enjoy it. The Manor House is beautiful and in a lovely location, with very friendly, attentive staff. Our room was lovely, though not luxurious. The bed was huge but the mattress wasn’t the most comfortable. We had bathrobes, slippers and a useful little fridge. The bathroom was fine, but shampoo and body wash came in wall-mounted dispensers, which didn’t feel luxurious. The spa is small, and its staff were welcoming. We enjoyed our stay.

We’ve had the pleasure of working here a couple of times. The pool area is absolutely sublime, and the venue itself is just beautiful. The events team gave us such a warm welcome. We hope to come back one day.

The food was excellent, and the place itself is magnificent and full of history. This is only a review of the restaurant and bar, where service let us down again. Our bar order was forgotten, and at the restaurant we were served first despite arriving last. The other tables didn’t seem pleased either. The location is worthwhile, but the rest of the experience didn’t meet expectations.
