Cain Valley Hotel

We all found plenty to choose from on the menu, and the portions were generous. The food was hearty and tasty, from the main courses through to puddings like Apple Crumble and Lemon Roulade. For three courses each, plus drinks, the price was very reasonable. Service was excellent, and it’s a relaxed pub that made for a very enjoyable family lunch.

The room was warmer and nicer this year, and it looked as though it may have been decorated since our last visit. We stay here every year, and this time was even better. We had a nice evening meal, and the chef did a great job. The young lady with dark hair and piercings was especially helpful, and the anniversary card and chocolates waiting on the table were such a kind gesture. The “main man” at reception helped too, even reserving a parking space when I needed to nip out. A warm welcome all round. See you next year.

For a family wedding near Llanfyllin, we booked the whole hotel for the last weekend of July 25. There were 22 adults and children, and the entire team took fantastic care of us. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again, The Cain Valley, first class 🥂👍

We stayed Friday and Saturday, 5th and 6th September, for two nights. The rooms were very clean, breakfast was really good, and there was a good choice of food in the restaurant. The bar had a good stock of beers and bottles, and the service was really good too. Molly served us, had a bit of banter, and is the most feminine goth you’ll ever meet. Very happy with everything.
