Park Place Guesthouse

The room and bed were a good size, with lovely views over the surrounding area, and the bathroom was clean and nice. This is a lovely B&B in Crickhowell, close to great walks and some fantastic places to eat. The Vine Tree was particularly good. Our host was lovely, and breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

We were greeted by Maxine’s warm smile and a lovely cup of tea with Welsh cakes. Yum! She gave us the best room, looking out over fields and mountains, and was so helpful with ideas for things to do. Nothing was a problem for her. The other guests were friendly too, and we had some lovely chats with them. We were invited to a classic car show, which we both went to and really enjoyed. It’s an ideal place to stay for the walks. Maxine was so kind, she even gave us a card and a bottle of wine to celebrate our day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Maxine.

We had a lovely two-day break, with very generous breakfasts and excellent hospitality from the owner. The decor and furnishings are tired and could do with modernising, though they were functional. It’s a shame the place may not be around for long.

We had a big room on the top floor for our night in Crickhowell during a walking holiday. It was all clean and nice, and breakfast was fantastic. Five stars!
