The showers were a problem, swinging between scalding and freezing, and the TV kept turning itself on, presumably because it was picking up remote signals from other rooms. The rooms and food are basic. It feels like the hotel mainly serves single men stopping over on business. Staff could be more welcoming, and the place lacks atmosphere.

We enjoyed our lunch and plan to come back for an afternoon or evening meal. The food was very good and reasonably priced, and the owners and staff made us feel welcome. My wife and I live fairly nearby and wanted to try the refurbished lunch menu. We only ate there, so I can't comment on the rooms or overnight stays. The Queens Hotel sits just outside Lockerbie in its own pleasant grounds, with plenty of parking. The reception and dining areas have been redone and feel brighter and more comfortable than before.

The food was nicely cooked and presented, but the menu could use more vegetarian choice. The only two options were both pasta. I know more people eat meat, but a little more choice for vegetarians would be good. We've eaten there before, when the selection was much better.

The wedding went really well, with attentive staff and excellent food. We stayed for a couple of nights because we were attending the wedding, and everything was impeccably run and managed. On arrival, Glenn gave us a warm welcome and explained the covid rules. Our room was impeccable too. The hotel's location is great for travelling around the region on either side of the border. We also had dinner and drinks there, at very reasonable prices. We'll certainly use it again.

We went as a group of nine, seven adults and two children. Parking at the back was plentiful, the restaurant was easy to find, and there's disabled access. It has a welcoming, family-friendly feel, like a warm pub. There's plenty of food choice, including vegetarian options, though I'm not sure what they have for customers with intolerances. I had the lamb mint burger, which tasted lovely but was a bit small. My son's children's burger was twice the size at half the price. Still, it's a great place for a family meal, and I'd recommend a visit.
