Alison was a superb host, friendly, efficient and helpful, and she fries a great breakfast. We took our dog, and she got on well with B. The small village location is handy for getting to Annan, Gretna or even Carlisle. We'd recommend the B&B to anyone who enjoys good food and a welcoming host. Our family room had three beds, and both the room and en suite were great. Our only criticism was where the TV was placed, which we mentioned to Alison during our stay.

Breakfast was tasty and generous, and the room was warm, with a very comfy bed and a good shower. The service was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. This is a brilliant B&B and a great place to stop to break up a long drive. Honestly, the only fault I can find is that I couldn't stay longer.

This was our third stay at The Village Inn, and we'll definitely be back in the near future to support Alison and her lovely establishment. We spent two nights at Allison's b&b and found it comfortable, with a spacious room and all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was a big, cooler breakfast, with tea and coffee and so on. It was really good value too. A truly exceptional bed and breakfast experience, with the most attentive host. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, high-quality place to stay in the area.

My wife, our two small dogs and I stayed overnight, and what a find. The rooms were fantastic, really the whole place was. The host couldn't do enough to help us, and we had a couple of drinks at the residents bar at very good prices. It certainly is dog friendly. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we've had anywhere on our travels. Alison, thank you for a fantastic start to our holidays. I can't recommend this BB highly enough.
