Avoid this place. I booked four nights, but they cancelled my booking without a refund because it was for two people and I was travelling alone. I sent an explanation through their portal twice, but there was no way to register just one guest. The photos aren’t real either, so check what the rooms actually look like on the hotel website. Scam company. 0/10.

I arrived 250 miles from home expecting to check in, only to find that the company had cancelled my booking without telling me. They had not cancelled it on Booking.com or refunded my money. I’d booked and paid in advance, and had the confirmation email. There was no front desk, just an empty lobby shared with an apartment block and numbered lockboxes on the wall. No messages in the Booking.com app, no email from the property, and no check-in instructions. By luck, a tenant let me into the lobby and asked if I was okay. She gave me the building manager’s number, and he gave me the hotel company’s number. After three calls and 2.5 hours on hold, customer service rep Christian tried his best to help, apologizing until he was almost crying. But he said management were sticking to the cancellation and that I’d have to contact booking.com. I was stranded in Europe’s most expensive city for hotels, with nowhere to stay and my money still gone. Management knew what had happened and chose not to fix it or offer a refund or any compensation. All I wanted, and told Christian, was the room I’d paid for during my stay. I didn’t want to take this further or write this review. I believe this company committed financial fraud and refused to refund me. The company that owns the hotel is “HK JIAYI INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SERVICES LIMITED”. I’ve included the name because it only appears in small print on the booking.com email confirmation. It looks dodgy to me. I now have plenty of evidence for what I consider illegal practices. The booking was cancelled without informing me, and I only found out on arrival. The “contact the property” phone number on the Booking.com page is not in service, and you can’t message them through the app. Management refused to provide a refund or compensation. I believe that’s a major breach of the Consumer Rights Act, and yes, I know I sound like a Karen. This company can expect a lawsuit. If they object to this Google Review and get it taken down, this isn’t the only copy. I’ll distribute the evidence of what I believe were illegal actions.

This was a terrible place to live. It isn’t even a house, it’s a hotel, and the service from Right Now Residential agency was awful. They say one thing and don’t follow through, and they stole my money. You won’t understand until you fall into their trap. I wonder how a group of scammers like them are legally allowed to operate in the UK. My contract was terminated, but I still haven’t received my money, even though I left the property tidy and clean. People should know what’s going on there.

The room and location are nice, and I’ve enjoyed living here to some extent. But the management team have been slow to deal with some issues. The WiFi has been a problem for months and still hasn’t been fixed, which takes away from what would otherwise be a pleasant place to live. There’s also a god-awful smell around the building.

The cleanliness and service were excellent, and everything else was fine. But there were two downsides. The windows faced the road, so there was strong traffic noise day and night, even with them closed. The soundproofing needs to be better. There was no wardrobe in the room either.
