I left early because the room was too cold, but I couldn't get hold of the owner by phone or text, and nobody was around. I left a note asking them to contact me about payment. They never did, and charged the full amount. The room itself was okay, though cold air came through the shut window and the advertised heating barely worked. The owner lent me an old-looking fan heater. It took about three hours to warm the room, and it smelled odd, so I didn't feel safe leaving it running overnight. When I plugged it in the next morning, it smelled burnt. The Pension needs work, especially the bathroom. I also felt unsafe there, though I can't really say why; it was just a feeling. The pub was shut when I arrived, despite the website saying it should be open. I wouldn't recommend staying at the Greenwich Pensioner in colder weather.

The room was clean and had what I needed, including a kitchenette and bathroom. I slept well in the comfortable bed. It was a quiet spot in a great location, and good value for the area. I'd gladly stay again.

I turned up on Tuesday at 20:05, really keen to try this pub because it looks like the only appealing one around here. It was shut, even though the online listing said it was open and gave no notice of a closure. Please keep the opening hours updated.

The beer choice was good, and the people seemed nice. I felt bad seeing a group being rude to them, though I didn't want to get involved. Ordering was a bit awkward: what seemed to be the owner's wife was there with a baby, and sometimes nobody was behind the bar. Once I ordered from her while she was holding the baby, and she got the owner. Our food took more than 45 minutes, and mine arrived well after my friends' meals.
