Bull's Head Hotel

The bacon steak with eggs and chips was very good for £14. The lemon and herby hummus was good too, though I couldn’t really make out the herbs in it at £8. The king prawns at £12 were a letdown: despite being cooked with chilli and garlic, they weren’t very spicy, and a finger bowl would have helped. The bar staff could’ve been a bit more observant, but luckily one of the women was very on the ball. It’s hard to get used to the cost of eating out now, £50+ for a large wine, a beer, two starters and a main.

The Bulls head have helped make several occasions go smoothly for me: our engagement party, my 50th, christening parties I’ve attended, and now my friend’s hen party. Amy and Jane are incredible, and the food is amazing. The staff are so helpful and polite. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are amazing. I’d thoroughly recommend them for an event.

The burger and starters were tasty, while the fish and chips was just OK. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was good. If you’re nearby and fancy a decent meal with drinks, I’d recommend it.

I arrived early for our table of six and waited at the bar. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our lunch table was lovely. It took them a while to get started serving us, but the food was very nice. We sat outside afterwards, and the garden area was lovely too.
