The noise was the biggest problem. Our ground-floor room was right beside reception, where guests and couriers kept chatting loudly with the receptionist late into the night. With reception staffed around the clock, I expected someone to ask people to keep it down after 11pm, but that didn't happen. Some daytime noise would have been understandable, but there was no consideration for us. Then at 8am, we were woken by very loud talking just outside our door from reception staff and cleaners, along with hoovering. Nobody had told us that hoovering would start that early. Checkout was at 11am, and after struggling to sleep the night before, we had hoped to rest longer. The staff need to be more considerate and stop talking outside guests' doors at unreasonable hours. We also didn't find reception staff welcoming.
