The Crown & Sceptre was a perfect place for our one-night stay. We loved the cozy, comfortable room and the very kind people. The pub downstairs is awesome, and the location is so convenient, close to the bus stop and train station. The neighborhood is beautiful, near Holland Park and Gardens and other interesting places.

Nearly 30 of us booked a buffet meal here while attending a trade fair at Olympia, and everyone enjoyed the amazing food. I was struggling to eat after dental surgery, so the manager kindly warmed up some delicious soup for me and checked on me during the evening. I really appreciated his kind hospitality.

The team is what makes The Crown & Spectre such a standout. Simon and his partner Sonia are clearly committed owners, and that care shows in the professional, welcoming service. The drinks are consistently well made and balanced, too. There’s a great 1980s soundtrack keeping the place lively, whether you’re stopping for a casual drink or making a night of it. The Crown & Spectre on Holland Road has a trendy, cool feel and has quickly become my favorite local spot. Please support this business and the good it brings to the community.

Great place to visit. The staff are really warm, the beer comes properly cold, and the music’s spot on. Rock earlier in the evening, then dance later. Give it a try.
