Crowne Plaza London - Kings Cross by IHG

The staff were the saving grace here. Aneta welcomed us warmly at check-in, our room was ready early, and the rest of the team were friendly and could at least smile. The hotel and room were clean, and breakfast was a standard English buffet, medium quality but fine to start the day. The room was a Double Twin. I may have missed it in the booking details, but sharing a 1.40m-wide bed between two adults simply doesn’t work. The walk-in shower is open, so water ends up all over the bathroom floor. It looks modern, but it’s inconvenient. The worst part came on my wife’s birthday. My daughter asked the restaurant for a candle. A waiter was happy to find one, but the manager stopped him with a wave and gave no explanation or alternative. Shame on the restaurant manager on duty the evening of 23 May. Genuinely weak.

Weronika deserves special recognition for the professional, friendly service and willingness to help with any questions or requests. Their attention to detail and positive attitude made my stay even better. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the facilities went beyond what I expected. The location was convenient and the atmosphere welcoming and relaxing. Thanks to the whole team for a great experience. I’d happily stay again and recommend the hotel.

Siddhant and Aakifa really stood out at breakfast. They were warm, attentive and consistently helpful each morning, making breakfast enjoyable and giving us a lovely start to the day. My family and I had a very pleasant stay at Crowne Plaza London – Kings Cross by IHG. It’s well located, clean and comfortable, and a good choice for families visiting London. The rooms were well maintained and met our expectations for a Crowne Plaza. We did miss having porter service. With several bags, help getting our luggage from reception to the rooms would have been useful, especially after a long journey. With a few small improvements, the hotel could be even better. We’d consider staying again.

I was in London for two weeks for work and stayed at the crown plaza the whole time. The staff were courteous, helpful and really warm. The hotel was clean, well maintained and had good facilities. Thanks to Sid and everyone in the restaurant for taking such good care of us. It felt like home. Definitely recommend it!
