Elegant 1 bed next to Hyde Park, sleeps 2

Being so close to Marble Arch tube station made it really convenient to get around, and we'd definitely stay again. Our room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the amenities were great. I especially liked the quality Babyliss hairdryer, and the shower had excellent water pressure. We got a warm welcome from a friendly doorman on arrival, and reception staff were helpful throughout. A couple of the doormen weren't particularly friendly, but the one we saw most often was outstanding and left a great impression.

I've only been here since yesterday and still have four nights to go, so these are just first impressions. The hotel is modern, clean and well maintained, with a comfortable, spacious room furnished to a good standard. Housekeeping and the other staff I've met so far have been friendly and professional. Marble Arch is a short walk away, with attractions, restaurants and shops nearby. The view from my room is extremely poor, more like looking out from a jail cell than staying in central London. I politely asked at check-in whether another room might be available, but the receptionist was rude and dismissive about my concerns. I understand room availability can be limited. Still, it was the lack of care and willingness to help, as much as the view, that disappointed me. First impressions matter, and this one was very negative. Reception service needs significant improvement. Apart from that interaction, my experience so far has been positive. I hope the rest of the stay reflects the hotel's quality, and I'll update this after my visit.

What made the weekend special was the service. Santos and Kingsley greeted my family and me with warm smiles as soon as we walked in, and Eriton at the front desk was lovely with my boys. She even wished one of them a happy birthday. The room was spacious, clean and modern, and the pool was well cared for. The location and room were lovely too. This is an incredible hotel, and Marriott is now my go-to for a weekend in London. Thank you to the team for making it special.

The staff greet you with genuine smiles, and they even brought my postal package up to the room so I didn't have to come down for it. The room was clean, nice and spacious, with a bright, good-sized bathroom and plenty of amenities. They also provide turndown service each evening. It's a hidden gem in a great spot, with easy access to bustling Oxford Street and Hyde Park. I'd love to stay again on my next London trip.
