The receptionist was really friendly and breakfast was good, and the location was convenient. Still, the bed left me in pain and tired, which wiped out those positives. It was narrower than a single, with a big gap along one side, and I kept waking up to stop myself rolling into the gap or off the bed. I also found a long black hair in it, even though my own hair is very short and light. A colleague's reaction was, 'What was that, student accommodation?' The room was tiny, which I usually don't mind, but this was ridiculous. The toilet was behind the bed. I wouldn't stay again.

The location is excellent, close to Kings Cross yet quiet, with pubs and several restaurants just steps away. The room was small but thoughtfully laid out and updated, and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home.

Our family of five spent four nights at the George Hotel in mid-March 2026. We booked a triple and a double to get an extra bathroom and more room, though the hotel also has a room for five. At check-in, both bookings were upgraded to quads, with plenty of space. The hotel looks out onto a pretty crescent-shaped garden where people were playing and relaxing during the day. We could walk to Euston, Kings Cross or our favourite, little Russell Square, in about 10 minutes, and nearby bus stops and all the Tube lines made getting around London easy. It's a lovely neighbourhood for food too. We tried Indian, Mediterranean and Italian places, plus a pub for drinks, all within a three-minute walk. The staff were friendly, and we especially enjoyed chatting with Dorka and Dale. Dorka greeted us each morning at breakfast and took good care of us. The full English buffet was tasty and gave our teenage sons the fuel they needed for the day. The lobby, breakfast rooms and bedrooms looked just like the website photos, nicely decorated, clean and fresh. I'd recommend the George when anyone asks me about London hotels, and I look forward to staying again.

The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly. It's in an amazing spot on a lovely road with tennis courts on the green. I'll definitely be back.

The staff were warm and attentive, especially Dorka, and the British breakfast was excellent. There was lean bacon, scrambled or fried eggs, sausages, mushrooms, hash browns, tomatoes, baked beans, plus cheese and ham. We had three very quiet nights in this nice hotel. It's conveniently close to St Pancras International and Russell Square tube and bus stations, with Euston and King's Cross stations nearby too. Our room, beds and shower room were all very clean. We'll definitely stay here again.
