Hotel 55

We arrived late at night after travelling from Germany, and Mr. Mazhar Syed at the night desk made us feel very welcome. He opened our room, helped with everything we needed, and stayed friendly and smiling. His clear directions about where to park were especially helpful after a long drive. My wife and I found Hotel 55 very clean and comfortable. We felt looked after and welcome, and I really liked the place. We'll definitely return soon.

Monica and Bouchra, along with the rest of the team, were professional and welcoming and did their best with what they had. The staff are the reason the experience was good, and they deserve the five-star rating. It was hard to see them working so hard to clean things that clearly need replacing. The hotel itself needs investment and proper upkeep. The carpets in particular should be replaced, and the rest of the property is overdue for an update. It's unfair to have such hardworking staff representing a hotel that hasn't been maintained. With the right upgrades, this place could be great, but the responsibility rests with the owner.

They upgraded our room when we arrived early, and the location was excellent and convenient. The staff made the stay memorable: everyone we met was friendly, professional, informative, and helpful.

I keep returning because I've had probably the best value for money in London here. The North Ealing Picadilly line tube is only a 3-4 minute walk away, which is a big advantage if you don't mind the half-hour ride into Central London. It's a great option if you'd rather spend your money on other things than a night's sleep. Lately, though, it feels as if management isn't giving the place the care it deserves, which is a pity. The daytime staff could also be more attentive.
