Kew Studios and Rooms

We left soon after returning in the evening and stayed with friends instead. Some permanent residents in the building, which isn’t just a hotel for guests, were having a loud, aggressive argument and throwing things around in the room next to ours. They sounded as though they might have been drinking or taking drugs, and they seemed like people who could act unpredictably. Our room only had a yale lock, which seemed easy to break into. It was a very unpleasant and scary experience. If you want a safe night’s sleep, avoid this place.

The price is about the only thing going for this place. It was disgustingly dirty, cramped, and had broken furniture. There were no towels when we arrived, and the photos are fake or at least no longer accurate. It’s an easy walk from the station. We only slept there. If you want space to rest, this isn’t the place.

I’ve never left accommodation so fast. It’s a sketchy house with rented rooms. Pay a bit more and you can get somewhere way better.

The room didn’t match the description, and the owner wasn’t helpful. We were given a room that wasn’t any of the ones in the pictures, with barely enough space to walk and no storage at all. Our luggage had to stay beside the bed, making it very hard to move around. The blinds were described as “blackout”, but they were damaged and badly installed, with a huge gap that let in light. There was no central heating, just a portable electric heater, so the room was really cold when we came back after a day out.
