NYX Hotel London Holborn

We had a suite with a separate sitting area, so it felt like two rooms and gave us enough space. The room was cleaned each day when we used the door sign, and the temperature control worked well, without making the room too cold like in many UK hotels. We also barely noticed the busy area outside. The hotel has a modern, chic, slightly seductive feel. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and Alicia seems to be doing a good job with the organization, cleanliness, and what the hotel offers. We ate at the restaurant twice and liked the food and unusual drinks. Sabine is the rooftop bar, but it's enclosed, so rain and cold aren't an issue. Downstairs, there's a spa with a wading pool, steam room, sauna, and gym, which usually close around 9 pm. We didn't book massages, but liked spending time there. The nearest tube station is about a five-minute walk away, and Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly are around 20 minutes on foot. We visited in May 2026 for our wedding anniversary and would definitely consider staying again. It met my expectations.

We ended up spending our whole stay at the hotel instead of exploring the area, since we were having such a good time there. The pool was lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room and hotel stayed clean and tidy throughout. We really liked the relaxed, modern feel and all the artistic details.

Breakfast was the one part that let our stay down. It was chaotic, with people going in every direction, not enough bowls, and the hot buffet taking too long to refill. That felt out of step with the rest of the hotel. Otherwise, NYX Hotel impressed us. It's stylish, modern, and spotless, and the team gave us a great welcome when we arrived. We liked the room and the overall experience, and would stay again. Hopefully they'll give the breakfast setup a bit more attention.

The room doors shut with a really loud bang, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. The rooms are starting to look a bit worn, though nothing was too bad, and housekeeping did a great job every day. The front desk was AMAZING when my credit cards were stolen at Harrods, and helped me out. The location is handy for restaurants, with plenty of buses just steps away and many sights a 10 to 20 minute walk away.
